Charlie Eleanor DeRuiter discovered her passion for oil painting at Young Harris College, initially studying at Georgia Tech and starting a photography business. She later returned to the University of Georgia for photography, focusing on photojournalism and macro work. Ultimately, she realized her true passion was painting, especially en plein air, which has become her preferred creative method, reflecting her diverse experiences and inspiring viewers.
