Participating Artist

Art has always been an important part of my life. Since before I started school, I was involved in different art classes and programs.  As I grew in my art I began to explore different mediums and found oil painting is my favorite.  I found Chestnut Group when looking for some local artists community and began taking lessons in plein air and joined the group. Although it was challenging at first, I was drawn to it and felt like the feeling and the freedom of the paintings I was creating from life was really expressive and special to me.   I believe an artist never stops learning, and I’m always looking for some new things to learn and experiment with.  I’m a new member of Oil Painters of America, American Impressionist Society and Tennessee Art League.
